VISITORS
Like the previous years, we had a number of visits
from Botswana, Sweden and elsewhere.
Axel (91), Per's dad, visited from Sweden with his
good friend, Gudrun (81). They reconstructed our garden and promised
to visit again next year to inspect the developments. Petter also
passed through during his business trip to Miami.
From Botswana we were visited by Mark and Mary Lane-Jones
(Hashers and management trainers); Elsie Alexander (from the University
of Botswana); Moleko (following a mining tour to central USA);
Batho Motubudi (currently in Boston); Patricia Tumedi (Bank of
Botswana); and Nshingo Mosinyi (a family friend and management
consultant).
During Julia's absence on work travel, Per briefly
met with Tony and Trish Lett and the Tunnacliffe family. We have
known the two families through our athletics participation days
in Botswana.
We also got to meet Kathy Mitchell, from the Australian
Electoral Commission, who was introduced by our good Australian
friends Don and Betty Gruber.
And last, but not least, we had the pleasure of
accommodating Lerato Molefe for two months during her internship
with the World Bank. Lerato is a law student at Harvard.
