WORK AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Per had a busy work and volunteer's year. After leaving the Board of the IMF Spouse Association, he continued with his computer skill training for the IMF spouses and the Senior Center in our neighborhood. This was in addition to his twice weekly iceskating monitoring at the local recreactional center, which voluntary work provides him with free access to the center.

Not all was voluntary work. Per had three students he tutored in mathematics and, toward the end of the year, took up paid work as World Bank spouses' instructor in computers.

And after the knee surgey last year, this year turned out to be a good folk dancing year, including a trip to Toronto with the Nordic Dancers.

Julia spent a good time of the year working in East Africa. This gave her the opportunity to visit Kenya, where she spent time with Safi's mum, brother and other relatives. Her official trips also made it possible for her to visit Botswana and to spend time with the rest of the family.
